Bunion Ella

Bunion Ella is my nickname. It's not hard to imagine why. On a recent trip to Mexico with my girlfriends, I could no longer disguise my growing "foot problem." I'm the one with the shoe fetish...I always wear the most fashionable, sexiest shoes known to womankind. I have a major investment in Manolos and Jimmy Choos. The sandals I brought to Mexico were simply fabulous. But, they couldn't hide the obvious.....my Hallux valgus, affectionately known as a bunion.
Very quickly my friends not only noticed this hideous bump, but decided right then and there, before the second margarita, that my name would be from now on, Bunion Ella. I tried to pretend that "Bunion Ella" didn't insult my vanity. After all, I had a beautiful pedicure, and the sandals were divine. Who knew that those things wouldn't get proper notice. And, that bump causes foot pain! How did this happen to me, Shoe Fashionista of world renown!
I've seen the aftermath of bunion surgery - not for me. Am I forever destined to hide my toes in Dr. Scholl's?
